DamGoods

Damaged Goods mark thirty years (yes really!) of releases with a compilation spanning all that time.

A selection of top tracks, deep cuts, lost gems and personal favourites. Punk, garage and indie are all well represented, with artists including Billy Childish, Thee Headcoats, Holly Golightly, Johnny Moped, Manic Street Preachers, Cowbell, Pete Molinari, Fabienne Delsol, Thee Dagger Debs and many more!

Music Machine

The label has, as they do say, ploughed its own furrow throughout that time and stuck true to Ian Damaged’s vision. Bucketfull has certainly covered a few of these bands; in recent years (meaning the last decade) I can recall reviewing corking albums by Fabienne Delsol, Pete Molinari and Holly Golightly among others.

Last summer I bumped into Ian at Mekonville and we had a bit of a chat. He was telling me how much he enjoyed working with Johnny Moped. That took me back a bit as I first met them in 1977, still have an original release copy of Cycledelic, and wrote up their ‘farewell’ gig in autumn 1978 for a long lost student magazine so it’s grand to see them going strong again and so well supported.

There’s also a pretty cool gig on Thursday at what was once The Music Machine. Tickets here.
