The Dream Syndicate have announced tour dates for the USA and Europe, running from early June to mid-November. Coming hot on the heels of news of the upcoming Ultraviolet Battle Hymns And True Confessions collection, a first album of new material for Fire Records, it continues a period of renewed activity for the band which began with a busy SXSW schedule in March. It also happens to be the fortieth anniversary of the release of their debut set – The Days Of Wine And Roses – and that’s going to be played in its entirety every night as a part of these shows.
Earlier in the year Fire released a three CD box-set based around their third album Out Of The Grey; it must be a good bet that something similar will be coming down the pipe for The Days Of Wine And Roses.
Happy to see them touring but disappointed they can’t make it to southeastern us, but i understand the realities of touring and economics. They have a loyal audience in Europe. Wishing them a successful tour.
